Sundance Pet Resort has joined an alliance of pet kennels from the tri-state area to help save soldier's pets.  This coalition's goal is to give military personnel a safe haven for their pet while they are away serving their country.  This Military Pet Relief is the first organized effort across the country to unite kennel and pet resort owners with shelters to save military pets' lives.

There are many reservists and National Guard soldiers heading off for deployment overseas.  Many of these citizen-soldiers do not have someone who can watch over their pet for six months to a year.  Some soldiers have found the only place for their friend is at a pound or humane society.  We here at Sundance Pet Resort do not feel that a soldier defending our country should have to give up their pet to do so.

We are donating runs to deploying soldiers free of charge.  The pets will be given quality care while the soldier is away, and they'll be waiting, tails wagging, when they return.

If you know a soldier with no place for their pet while they are deployed, please inform them of our offer.  If we can not accommodate them, we will be willing to find a local pet resort for that can.

Another team looking out for our soldiers is NetPets, Inc., a non-profit organization located in South Carolina.  The Military Pets Foster Project's purpose is to connect military pets with foster families, at no expense to the reservist.  They currently have over 5,000 families willing to take in a military pet until the solider returns.  Soldiers interested in finding a foster family for their pet, or families willing to become foster homes may contact NetPets, Inc. by clicking on the provided link: www.netpets.org.
